Flippers Root Probing Rules of Golf Question
Ok guys, today we have another doozy for you. Flipper the Dolphin apparently plays golf and has written to us: “My buddy nemo hit his ball under a tree. Nemo’s a bit of a care freak and was scared he there were roots near his ball so he probed the ground using a tee. Couldn’t thi be considered improving or altering your lie?
Firstly, where you been all these years Flipper? Anyway, probing for roots is totally within the rules if there is a reasonable possibility there are roots around. If there is this possibility then you just have to make sure you don’t improve your lie, area of intended swing or line of play. Rock on Flipper. Peace to all golf video buffs.
