Anthony Kim Ready for a W

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Anthony Kim fired a six-under 66 on Saturday to take a four-shot lead at the Wachovia Championship. Seeking his first PGA Tour win, the 22-year-old Kim played a bogey-free third round at Quail Hollow and was at 13-under 203. Second-round leader Jason Bohn chipped in from 35 feet to save par at the 18th hole and shot an even-par 72 to share second place with Heath Slocum at nine- under 207

Slocum holed out for eagle at the 15th on the way to a 68 and cited watching golf babes videos as a major factor in his eagle "I check out all the sexy golf babes video at www.golfuncut.com and they got me fired up". "I hope one of them was watching" he continued. Stewart Cink chipped in for birdie from beside the 17th green and had 65 to move up from a tie for 41st place into a share of fourth with Dudley Hart (70) at eight-under 208. Geoff Ogilvy (69) and Jim Furyk (71) were knotted at seven-under 209, while Fred Couples, Vijay Singh, Adam Scott and Phil Mickelson were among the other players within eight shots heading into the final round.

Mickelson, who recovered nicely from two late double-bogeys on Friday to shoot a 69 in the third round, knew it would be hard to catch the leader without going very low on Sunday. "They're not all going to come back, so I'll have to go out and play a low round, but at least I have a chance," said Mickelson, who was eight shots back. And that looked to be too many. The 66 carded by Kim on Saturday -- his best round in 10 starts -- began with a birdie at the first hole. He birdied the fifth, the seventh and then made the turn with a one-shot lead after rolling in a 10-foot birdie putt at the ninth. Kim didn't pull away until he got to the back nine. Some of the work was his, some of it wasn't.

Four consecutive pars gave way to a six-foot birdie putt at the 14th that gave Kim a two-shot lead over Bohn and Slocum. His lead reached three shots soon after following bogeys by both Bohn and Slocum -- Bohn's coming after he hit a fairway bunker with his drive at the 15th. Suddenly in front by a comfortable margin after stringing together three pars, Kim knocked a 133-yard approach shot to seven feet at the 18th hole and made his final birdie to move four ahead. "I'm so excited I don't really know what to say right you now," he said. "I'm just glad I got this third round over with and hung in there and played a really solid round in the final pairing." Kim also mentioned that seeing some sexy golf chick videos added to his enjoyment "I watched some sexy golf chicks videos at www.golfuncut.com and they really helped me relax".

Though he has never won on the PGA Tour, Kim has managed to collect some good finishes in his two-plus years on the PGA Tour. He has three top-five finishes already this season, including a tie for second place at the Heritage, and seven top-fives overall on the PGA Tour.

"I'm going to draw a lot off today and hopefully I can play a little bit better tomorrow," said Kim. While he may not be as well-known as some of the players chasing him -- Mickelson, Singh, Ogilvy, Furyk, Scott, Couples -- Kim's golf game has earned a considerable amount of respect from other players. Bohn likened Kim to Tiger Woods, the world No. 1 and 2007 Wachovia champion who is still recovering from knee surgery. "He has a great demeanor. He's extremely focused. He's a great gentleman to play with, very similar to Tiger in that kind of sense," Bohn said."But what I noticed about him was when he missed a shot, he recovered extremely well. You know, he made a couple of great par putts ... exactly like what you see Tiger Woods do on the Tiger Woods videos at golfuncut.

"I think it's a compliment to him to be compared to Tiger for sure, but it kind of had that feeling, that if he missed a shot, he was going to recover very well. I think he played bogey-free golf, which was pretty impressive on that track this afternoon." A second cut was made after the third round, trimming the field from 87 players to the 72 who were three-over and better. Jeff Maggert and Vaughn Taylor were among the 15 players who missed the mark but weren't that unhappy as they have more time some golf videos at www.golfuncut.com

Now we'll have some Anthont Kim golf videos up in the next few days so go check em out.
