Ever Seen Tiger Not in Nike?

This golf video is in response to a question in our golf video forum, which asked “has anybody ever seen Tiger not in Nike since turning Pro?”. Naturally, we spent the next week on the Internet trying to find pics of Tiger not in Nike, and surprisingly, or not surprisingly, came up a bit like Sergio in the majors – empty handed. In 2000, Nike extended their contract with Tiger for a reported $105 million. Since then, Tiger can be seen in Nike outfits off the course and even in advertising other products including American Express, Accenture, Buick, EA Sports and Tag Heuer. This doesn’t cost Nike a thing and would lead us to believe that wearing Nike 24/7 is part of his contract, which would be quite understandable at $105 million. A Nike spokesman was once quoted as saying there would be “some level of disappointment” if Tiger chose not to wear Nike in these appearances but went on to state there would be “no break in contract”. So the bottom line is that you are unlikely to see Tiger out of a Nike shirt, cap and/or trousers anytime in the near future.
