What Golf Clubs Should I Buy
When new golfers get the golf bug they always wanna know what clubs they should get. I’m going to answer this one by giving you a review of the biggest brands in golf. Lets start with Titleist. Titleists motto is “Serious Clubs for Serious Golfers”. These clubs are just that and many better players use Titleist. They have the undisputed number 1 ball in golf, the Titleist Pro V1, and their line of Scotty Cameron putters are used by most tour players. You can’t go wrong with any piece of Titleist equipment. Next is TaylorMade, which is probably most famous for their drivers, the most played driver on the PGA tour. They also make irons, putters and balls but they are most renowned for their drivers. Callaway has been one of the biggest brands in golf for a long time and have a reputation for being amongst the most forgiving irons and drivers in golf. Their Big Bertha Driver pretty much started the oversize driver industry. Nike is the newest on the scene and of course does well mainly due to the fact that Tiger Woods is using its equipment. As with any Nike product, you can expect good quality and reasonable prices. Ping is one of the oldest players in the equipment scene and is particularly popular in North America and Europe, where their irons are the biggest sellers at many pro Shops. Tiger Woods still uses a ping grip on his Scotty Cameron putter. Cobra is owned by Acushnet, who also own Titleist and Footjoy. They were very popular when Greg Norman was number 1 in the world, faded out for a while and have since made a bit of comeback in the mid handicap market. Footjoy is the best known brand for accessories including shoes and gloves. Ask any teaching Pro and he’s most likely to have either a pair of footjoy shoes or a footjoy glove. Buy any of these brands and you shouldn’t have any issues with quality and if you do, all of them offer limited guarantees so you can be confident in your purchase. There are many more brands in golf but these are the biggest covering the lions share of the market across all product categories.
