Ian Poulter has become the latest snickering cause in the lockers after 1/ Posing on the cover of UK Golf World Magazine featuring just a golf bag covering his twig and berries 2/ Announcing that "I know I haven't played to my full potential and when that happens it will just be me and Tiger". The inside word is that tour players are planning to leave Poulter on the range with just Tiger after a secret signal is performed. Poulter did add that Tiger was "one in a million" going on to add "Actually, Tiger is one on ten million".

This weeks Super 6 Fantasy Golf leaves the PGA Tour and heads to Dubai for the Dubai Desert Classic. We've made the fist matchup an interesting one with Tiger Woods Vs The Field, based on his latest form that still should be a relatively easy choice. It’s A Rap Golf Video News– Week 4

Tiger began the week by telling the media he considers the Tilghman incident over and then announced he has just unveiled a statue of himself and his late father at the Tiger Woods Learning Center in Anaheim California. This week was all about Tiger, and on the other side of the world, the man with the swing most resembling Tiger Woods shot a final round career best 61 to win the Qatar Masters. This was Adam Scotts 6th European title but first since the 2005 Johnnie Walker Classic. Back in the US, Tiger yet again had the media on their hands and knees bowing to the golf god after blitzing the field by 8 in his first appearance in 08 at the Buick Invitational. His performance is probably best summed up by his fellow tour players:
Justin Leonard: “There's two tournaments going on. I'm going to try to win the tournament that Tiger's not playing” .Ryuji Imada: ”This is the Tiger Woods Invitational, isn't it? My goal going into today was to finish second. That's almost like winning the golf tournament to me”
And Finally perhaps the most telling quote was by Tigers best buddie Mark Omeara who declared "I reckon Anthony's swing is better at 22 than what Tiger's was." --Mark O'Meara, long time pal of Tiger, with high praise for young gun Anthony Kim. O'Meara finished last amongst those who made the cut at Torrey and Kim failed to play on the weekend.

DJ Trahan Raises The Roof at Bob Hope

The wheels of steel were on fire this week as 27 year old DJ Trahan bought down a rejuvenated Justin Leonard to win the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. Trahan’s win was somewhat overshadowed by the continuing saga of the Tilghman Affair. The editor of Golf Week magazine was fired after he gave the ok to a cover featuring the image of a noose, which he defended as being representative of the situation Kelly Tilghman was facing. We agree with Champions Tour player Jim Thorpe, who called the editors actions “absolutely stupid” adding “Let him get barbequed”. Other news that only a handful of people care about includes Jennifer Rosales and Dorothy Delasin of the Philippines shootinga 7-under 65 Sunday to beat South Korea by two strokes at the Women's World Cup of Golf. And on the European Tour Martin Kaymer won the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship by four strokes Sunday despite struggling to a 2-over 74. Buick Invitational Super 6 Fantasy Golf

Here's an update on this weeks Super 6 Fantasy Golf.

Pretty much all but one match is over at the Buick Invitational where Tiger and Phil are making their 2008 debuts.


Match 1 featuring best buddies Tiger and Rory is all but over as Tiger is now 4 strokes ahead of the field and 10 shots ahead of Rory.

Match Number 2 featuring Phil Mickelson Vs Mike Weir was decided after Mike Weir WD'ed. Under the Super 6 Fantasy Golf rules that's stiff luck for those punters who picked Weir, which were probably few and far between anyway.

Match 3 Featuring Singh and Furyk is close with only one shot separating the two.

Match 4 KJ Choi Vs Aaron Baddely has produced somewhat of a surprise based on recent form with Choi shooting 72-77 to miss the cut. Baddeley is currenty T4 and takes the match easily.

Match 5 featuring Charles Howell III Vs Geoff Ogilvy has also been decided with Ogilvy missing the cut and Howell currently in the top 10.

Match 6 Anthony Kim Vs Camillo Vegas is also over with Anthony Kim missing the cut.

Super 6 Fantasy Golf Bob Hope Results

Although the tournament is yet to finish the matchups for this weeks Super 6 Fantasy Golf are decided. In the 1st matchup Elk has a chance to win and big John Daly withdrew so according to our games rules, that's just bad luck and Elk takes the match. Match number 2 saw the Bulldog Corey Pavin barking at tour veteran Mark O'Meara, with bot players missing the cut but the bulldog winning by a single stroke. Bad back twins Rocco Mediate and Fred Couples went head-2-head and Mediate missed the cut paving the way for a Couples victory. Aquaman Woody Austin defeated First Hole Fist Pump Guy Chris DiMarco as DiMarco missed the cut. On a side note DiMarco was seen pumping both fists after making par during the 2nd round at the 18th easiest hole. Tour has-beens David Duval and Bob Tway both missed the cut but Tway had the better score and David Duval spent his free time telling people about his 59 here a while back. In the one-hit wonder last matchup featuring Tod Hamilton Vs Shaun Micheel, Hamilton missed the cut so Micheel takes the match no matter what he shoots in the final round.

Choi Breaks Out The Robot Dance at Sony

The Rory Sabbatini Fan club lost its only fan when KJ Choi held him off to win the Sony Open by 2 strokes. Rory had a chance for eagle on the 18th with an iron into the green but ended up with 40 footer and was the only payer to 3 putt the 18th all day. Choi is now five for five when leading after 54 holes and went wire to wire to cement his place as the Asian to most likely a major.

Michelle Wie avoided embarrassment by not showing up at all for the first time since 2003, a move that saw all the players on the PGA Tour do a celebratory group Macarena.

The Tiger Vs Sabbatini continued with Woods. Tiger issued a statement regarding Sabbatini playing in this years Target World Challenge saying “”We would certainly encourage him not to accept his invitation”. Our little birdie told us they saw Rory weeping in the locker room after he was told of the comment

US Open champ Angel Cabrera decided he wanted to live a few more years and stopped smoking. He hasn’t had one for five months. A million dollars will tend to ease your stress levels.

3. Rory Sabbatini will play in the final group with Tiger in all four majors losing by a combined 56 shots, then call a press conference to announce “he’s getting close”

4.Natalie Gulbis will retire from golf and chase her dream of becoming a Slice Girl

5. Monty will win his first tournament in the US, move there permanently and become a spokesman for Jenny Craig

6. Sergio will play in the final group of a major and come 2nd. He will announce that he played 78 perfect golf shots that didn’t quite come off, before getting into a dust up with a reporter from New Caledonia

7. Phil Mickelson will run for Mayor of Beverley Hills, then turn to a career in television as presenter of Fear Factor

Super 6 Fantasy Golf Sony Open Results

KJ Choi won the Sony Open and took down his Fantasy Golf matchup Angel Cabrera in the process. Red Necks John Daly and Boo Weekley both missed the cut and took their RV's home early, with Daly shooting 72-68 and Weekley shooting 70-72. Daly takes the Mcdonalds home. Steve Striker easily took down Vijay Singh and Stephen Ames had a top 10 finish to easily defeat Parnevik who went shopping for some new pink trousers for a date with new golf video presenter Condoleezza Slice. In the fist Super 6 Fantasy Golf tie, Robert Allenby and Aaron Baddeley both missed the cut and shot 141. According to our tie rules, we went to their scores on the 18th, 17th and finally 16th, which Allenby parred to Baddeleys bogey. user kingcobra overtook pinseeker and now leads with FGD$ 1,470,000, but this means new users still have a good chance at winning. The Super 6 Matchups are proving to be quite difficult and giving everyone a chance at winning even if you sign up in the middle of a Super 6 game. Chopra Survives Strikers Strike At Kapalua

Daniel Chopra outlasted two-time comeback champion Steve Striker to win the season opening Mercedes Benz Championship. Chopra earned our respect for a victory that he needed 3 shots at. On the final hole of regulation he had a 12 footer to win he left in the jaws. On the first playoff hole he had 7 feet to win and hit a weak putt. On the 2nd play off hole Chopra had the Nicklaus putter in the air going but then had to adopt the Tiger falling to his knees routine when it stopped on the edge. He again came up a blade of grass on the 4th hole for eagle but tapped in for birdie to take the win, his 2nd in only 3 starts on the PGA Tour.

Chopra’s win was overshadowed by a comment from Golf Channel anchor Kelly Tilghman who suggested that the only thing PGA Tour players could do to stop Tiger Woods was to “lynch him in a back alley”. Of course, some over sensitive civil rights activists went up in arms and made it a storm in a tea cup. Tiger’s camp issued a statement saying “It is a complete non-issue” but Kelly was eventually suspended for two weeks. Some people really need to get themselves a life, or smoke some weed and just chill out.
