How to play a call hole
Call holes are Par 3’s that mean when all of the players in the group in front are on the green, your group hits up. It’s supposed to speed up play but that’s a subject of debate among many players. All you need to do is be ready to hit. There’s no need to rush, but you don’t wanna be changing clubs and tossing blades of grass up in the wind when it’s your turn. Prepare while the group in front are playing their shots if they happen to have missed the green. As soon as they lift their clubs in the air to signal you can hit, step up and play your shot. After all players in your group have hit, walk to the green and if the group behind you is on the tee then walk to the back of the green and signal them to hit up once all your group is on the green. If there are only 2 players in either your group or the group in front or behind then you may not want to be called, or call them unless it’s a strict course policy and/or the caddies tell you to do so.
