How to stop the shanks golf video

The Shanks can be so frustrating that it’s made people give up golf. For those of you who don’t know, a shank is a shot that comes off the hosel of the club and heads off well right, sometimes almost at right angles. There are two sure-fire ways to stop a shank. 1/ Hit some shots standing on two golf balls like this. This will help prevent your weight moving out towards the ball and get you swinging more on your heels. If that doesn’t work, 2/ stick something like a head cover or golf ball box near the ball like this. This stops the club moving out towards the ball also and if you do this at the range and hit it, you’ll look like an absolute plonker, which is a good incentive not to hit it. If you try these two drills and you’re still shanking it, it might be time to give up or send us your golf swing video and we’ll do a free swing analysis for you.
