How to play a Nassau Golf Video
In this golf video we explain the Nassau. The Nassau is probably one of the most popular betting games to play in golf for most weekend hackers. It’s pretty simple and goes like this. The 18 holes is divided into three separate bets, the front nine, back nine and overall 18. You might hear “lets play a little 10-10-10”. That means the front nines worth $10, the back nine’s worth $10 and the overall 18 is worth another $10, making the total winnings available $30. You score using matchplay, not strokeplay. There are several variations on the Nassau but the most popular is presses, which are extra bets for any and/or each separate bet. So lets say you are three down with two holes to play on the front nine. You can’t win the front nine, so you might choose to press, which means that you are making a new bet for the remaining three holes, starting even. You can do this for the front, back and total 18 but only if you are down and you’ve agreed before the round that presses are allowed. Many people also play automatic presses so if you get a certain amount of holes down, a new bet starts. If you only know one betting game, make sure this is it.
